Sunhong Yoon

Sunhong Yoon (b. 1965, Korea)

Sunhong Yoon is a contemporary Korean artist who cultivates a "botanical garden of the heart" through her paintings. Graduating from Ewha Womans University with a major in Oriental Painting, she has held 26 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows. Yoon captures the vitality of plants and the warmth of daily life using a technique built on accumulated time and sincerity. She layers traditional pigments (Bunchae) on thick Korean paper (Jangji) and scratches the surface to create rich, tactile textures.

Her works are collected by prestigious institutions including the MMCA Art Bank (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art), Government Art Bank, Jeonnam Museum of Art, and Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art. Through her art, she invites viewers into a peaceful sanctuary where nature and humans coexist in harmony.
