About the Artwork
Elsewhere IV by Jeonghui Lee
"A silent swim within a golden paradise." In this fourth piece of the Elsewhere series, Jeonghui Lee portrays a white fish peacefully swimming inside a circle of gold. Using real gold leaf on traditional Korean paper (Hanji), the artist creates a sacred boundary that separates this space from reality. The fish, often a symbol of freedom and abundance, moves effortlessly in this shimmering sanctuary, inviting the viewer to imagine a world free from worldly worries—a true 'Elsewhere' of the soul.

Why We Love This Collection
🐠 Symbol of Freedom
The white fish gliding through the golden void represents total freedom and peace. Hanging this artwork brings a sense of fluid movement and tranquility to a static space, making it perfect for a bathroom, spa area, or quiet study.
✨ The Glow of Gold
The contrast between the pure white fish and the warm, reflective gold leaf is stunning. The gold changes its luster with the ambient light, acting as a "living light" that adds a luxurious and sacred touch to your interior.
🏺 Vertical Harmony
With its slim vertical ratio (approx. 1.7:1), this piece works beautifully when displayed alone on a narrow wall or paired with Elsewhere II. It acts like a window looking into a brighter, more peaceful world.
🏆 Proven Value
Jeonghui Lee is a rising contemporary artist known for her unique use of traditional materials (mineral pigments, gold leaf) and profound subject matter. Her works invite deep contemplation and have been recognized in various exhibitions for their distinct artistic voice.
