    About the Artwork

    Retrospection by Younghwan Park

"A monumental gaze into the corridors of the past." Retrospection is a commanding 2025 work by Younghwan Park, rendered on a grand scale (nearly 2 meters tall). While many landscapes look outward, this piece looks inward and backward. Through the dense accumulation of ink on Hanji, Park visualizes the depth of memory. The darkness is not empty; it is filled with the weight of time, and the light breaking through suggests the clarity that comes from reflection. It is an immersive experience that invites the viewer to stand before it and confront their own history.

    Why We Love This Collection

    🕰️ The Weight of Time
This isn't just a painting; it's an environment. The sheer scale of the work envelops the viewer, creating a dedicated space for contemplation. It is powerful enough to define the entire atmosphere of a large living room, lobby, or library.

    📽️ Cinematic Immersion
The vertical flow of ink resembles a cascading waterfall of memories or a reel of film. It adds a dramatic, narrative quality to the space, making it perfect for interiors that aim for a modern, gallery-like aesthetic.

    🌑 Minimalist Luxury
Despite its size, the monochrome palette keeps it from being overwhelming. It exudes a quiet confidence and sophistication that pairs beautifully with high-end furniture and natural textures like stone or wood.

    🏆 Proven Value

Younghwan Park is a talented young artist whose works have been showcased at major art fairs like KIAF and Art Busan. His ability to fuse traditional techniques with modern sentiments makes his work a timeless addition to any collection.
