    About the Artwork

The Wind Blows III by Sangheon Lee

"A rhythmical green wave orchestrated by the wind." In this third variation of the The Wind Blows series, Sangheon Lee focuses on the structural beauty of nature. Using his signature syringe technique, he layers acrylic lines in organized, wave-like patterns on Jangji paper stained with mineral pigments and ink. The repetitive, flowing texture resembles a lush field dancing in unison or the gentle ripples of a green sea. It captures a moment where the chaotic wind finds a harmonious order, bringing a sense of calm rhythm to the viewer.

    Why We Love This Collection

    🎼 Visual Rhythm
Unlike the wilder movements of his other works, this piece features a distinct, orderly flow. The organized lines created by the syringe technique produce a soothing visual rhythm, acting like a visual meditation that calms the mind and regulates the breathing of the space.

    🌿 Deep Healing Green
The deep, saturated greens in this artwork symbolize vitality and rest. Hanging this piece in a living room or office brings the refreshing energy of a dense forest or a tea plantation indoors, acting as a natural stress reliever for tired eyes.

    🧱 A Touch of Texture
Sangheon Lee’s unique relief technique transforms the surface into a tactile landscape. The raised lines catch the light, creating subtle shadows and highlights that change throughout the day, adding a sophisticated depth that flat prints simply cannot replicate.

    🏆 Proven Value
Sangheon Lee is an established artist whose works are collected by prestigious institutions such as the MMCA Art Bank (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art), Seoul City Hall, and Lotte Hotel Seoul. His unique approach to modernizing traditional Korean painting is highly regarded .
